Got a chance to work on my outlook plain text quoting plugin again. It’s been just about 3 months since the last release. Finally had an opportunity to implement a couple features that have been requested for a while:
- A way to turn off smartquote temporarily. This is now done through a menu item in the SmartQuote menu.
- Improvements to the quoting algorithm so that it handles lists better. This makes certain assumptions about how people format lists in plain text emails.. and it doesn’t quite handle numbered lists yet, but it’s certainly better than nothing.
Anyhow, don’t know why I made two releases in the same day. I guess I didn’t think I’d have two separate solid chunks of time to work on it. In any case, you should probably grab the latter. Click here to download smartquote 0.7.7.
