What a day.
My new notebook is obsoleted, just like that. Actually, not really. I’m sure Steve Jobs and Apple is not dumb enough to abandon its installed base of PPC customers. It would have been nice if it had happened a few years earlier though.. then I really wouldn’t have had to venture over to PPC-land.
Could they have done it at the OS X transition? Maybe switching OS’s and architectures is a bit too much.
Game 7 of the Eastern conference finals was a pretty entertaining one, though the end was similar to how many games down the wire work themselves out. A team’s down by 2, has to fowl, the other team makes 2 freethrows, then the team scores a quick 2 and fouls again in the hope that one of the 2 freethrows will be missed. The other team makes both, and then the first team shoots a three in desparation.. misses, and fouls again immediately, and it’s all over. Kind of a non-climactic way to end a good series.
Detroit versus San Antonio should be really fun to watch.
