The whole thing about General Electric not paying any US taxes is amazing, but I’m not surprised.

The Citizens United supreme court case, on the other hand, was a little bit more surprising.

But I think what bothers me the most is the implication of the combination of the two.

History class taught me the notion of “taxation without representation.” But isn’t this “representation without taxation”? How can that be healthy?
