Somehow my webserver crashed.. I think the host OS crashed, and took the guest down with it. When I logged into the host today, the uptime was only 20 hours or so.
I took the opportunity to move the webserver VM that this site is hosted on over to my windows box. Linux host to windows host migration isn’t exactly supported, but its accomplished easily enough if you just move the virtual disk files over, and create a VM with a similar enough configuration (Actually, Linux is fairly tolerant of hardware changes, so you probably don’t even have to be that careful). Maybe I can decomission my other box altogether now. Damn — this thing they call “VMware” is super convenient.
