Finally managed to get it all installed. Took about 3 hrs and a few reboots.
Once it got installed, performance seems pretty reasonable. It still feels like it takes a long time to boot, but that may be because it doesn’t tell you what it’s doing.
The JDS feels pretty nice. CD automounting seems to work fine, even though I thought they were using a older version of Gnome that didn’t have it yet. But I guess all the stuff underneath is custom Sun stuff anyways.
No tools for solaris 10 I guess. I hope the clock drift won’t be too bad. Hgfs is really useful on my linux webserver, but I guess I can always just do a samba mount.
