I’ve been pretty happy with smugmug, but today I came across PhotoShelter, which purports to be a smugmug type service meant for Pro photographers. Interesting features include the ability to upload RAW images and that they provide strong backup features.
It had always annoyed me that you couldn’t upload RAW images to smugmug. They probably have to keep it that way to maintain their ‘unlimited space’ feature.
PhotoShelter is only $5.99 a month, which is competitive with smugmug’s Power User account. Perhaps I will have to investigate further.
Update: Took me a while to get to the Pricing page on PhotoShelter, but I see the difference now. It’s 5.99/mo for 10G, not ulimited. Also personal website integration costs $20/mo. on top of that. Nevermind then.
