First impression is that it feels exactly like the Tactile Pro. The N-key rollover works pretty well, but it seems to not work if you press down more than 8 keys at once. The key remap-ability is quite useful. I’ve already remapped the control key to be in the right place, and I will soon remap the escape key to be next to the one. All the keycaps have the same shape so you can actually move them around (which makes your key remapping visually obvious) without making the key position and shape feel funny.
Only problem so far seems to be with the PS/2 to USB adapter that I’m using to connect the thing to my mac. It seems to reset itself once in a while, causing it to drop keys. I didn’t notice the problem when hooked in to PS/2 directly, so I guess I just have to replace my adapter, and all will be good. I have an old one that is kind of bulky anyways.
Full review will come later.
